DatA & CRAFTS

PODCAST Coming soon

Talking with makers of our time who occupy the art movement we are in now, the Data & Crafts movement.

Why?

We are living in a world no longer bound by the physical realms. We need to update the definition of craft to reflect this world. Craft is found in the attention to detail of highly skilled makers, makers of pixels and code, makers of stem cells and bone, makers of melodies and herbal remedies. In whatever discipline or industry, we are going beyond the limits of the human hand into new tools as extensions of ourselves. We have moved beyond a physical object into an era of hybrid reality and beyond the epitomised solo maker, into an era of collaborative fellowship.

What?

A podcast series to investigate the strategies used by highly talented makers in The Data & Crafts movement. To record the changing face of art as it moves into a future of virtual and physical spaces. To expand the notion of craft in the minds of the public.

How?

Interviewing a diverse set of craftspeople across the digital and physical landscape, to learn and absorb their strategies. Through uncovering the stories behind their craft journey and to reflect where it might go next.

Who is this for?

This podcast is for anyone who appreciates good quality craftsmanship in all materials. And for those who are interested in hearing a diverse range of maker’s approaches to achieve creative excellence.

Craft is the pursuit of creative excellence through many hours of training to perfect what you make.
